CURB’s Face 2 Face 25’ Recap Series

THANK YOU to the beautiful CURB coalition for another powerful Face 2 Face convening. F2F and our work at large would not be possible without you all. 

We know our efforts are stronger when unified and are so beyond grateful to work alongside you as we fight for a world where everyone can thrive.

One of the main purposes of the CURB coalition is to connect our shared movement priorities so we can coordinate our efforts and build together to close ALL carceral institutions in CA, reduce the number of imprisoned people in our state, and shift resources to areas that keep our communities safe.

As we face a heavy and intense political landscape, this year’s F2F offered space to strategize, connect, and sharpen our knowledge around issues impacting our communities AND how we fight against them.

#F2F25 featured…

-A deep dive around the #CAbudget & tactics with @budget2savelives to redirect billions in prison spending to human health services, environmental protection & critical resources at risk

-A #CloseCAPrisons strategy session + panel with advocates from @c_c_w_p, @designingjustice, @curyj510

-A Jail Fight coordination panel with advocates from @ladefensx, @reimagine_la, @justicelanow, @decarcerate_sacramento, @criticalresistance, @verainstitute

-A crimmigration panel with advocates from @the_ilrc, @dignitynotdetention, @unipopular_, @asianprisonersc

-A discussion around protecting our communities & fighting fascism

-A workshop from the @translatinacoalition on advocacy in LA County to invest in our transgender, gender-expansive & intersex communities
