It is unacceptable that the May Revise proposes an INCREASE to prison spending, while critical services are being cut. 

As key budget leaders & the @cagovernor finalize the state budget, we hope this overview can be a tool you can use to push for prison closure & redirection of savings into community needs in your own advocacy. 

With the Assembly and Senate both proposing prison closure in their versions of the budget, we need to keep the momentum up to demand prison closure in the enacted budget!
