We joined Long Beach Forward and partners at the Long Beach Council meeting yesterday urging the city to say NO to #Prop36. With over 600 letters sent ahead of the meeting and numerous public comments, the city did NOT endorse Prop 36  It is clear that Long Beach residents overwhelmingly want vulnerable community members to get support. However, it is essential recognize that Prop 36 is not the solution it purports to be. Prop 36 is a return to the war on drugs and mass incarceration.
