The 2025-26 May Revise Budget announced another California state prison closure by 2026! This is a powerful testament to our community’s advocacy, and an acknowledgment that closing prisons is a smart budget solution.

However, vital programs are still facing massive budget cuts while the state maintains a bloated Corrections budget.

With the budget deadline on June 15th, we have only weeks to make our voices heard.
