CURB is opposed to Prop 36 because it will increase imprisonment and costs of incarceration at every level of the criminal punishment system. Prop 36 will gut hundreds of millions in  funding provided from Prop 47 which has helped thousands of Californians obtain jobs, housing, survivor services, mental health care, and much more.

Yes on 36 has raised over $13.3 million. While Prop 36 has been presented as bipartisan, this news raises questions about its financial support and the interests behind it.
