What are you doing tomorrow afternoon? 628x471

Did you know Governor Brown will release his revised 2014-15 budget proposal on Tuesday at news conferences in Sacramento, Los Angeles and San Diego.

Folks in San Diego are furious that the the Governor has proposed more prison spending including $500 million to build new jails.

We’ll be mobilizing to the press conference, can you can join us and help get the word out?

Tuesday May 13th, we’ll meet at 2:30pm outside of the San Diego City Administration Building at 202 C Street in San Diego.

If you can make it, send a quick email to Catherine Mendonça of Black & Pink or call her at 401-580-7791 with questions.

In recent years we’ve seen $15 billion dollars of cuts to social safety net programs, and we know to build a stronger healthier California for everyone we need invest in programs not prisons!
