Join us to push for jail alternatives in SF

Dear Supporter,

Thanks to our mighty people power, San Francisco is on its way to closing one of its jails. Now, we need to make sure the City invests in the policy changes and services necessary to truly support our communities.

Help us lift up community-based solutions by joining us tomorrow morning at City Hall!

We’ll be releasing a new report outlining alternatives to arrest and imprisonment: “San Francisco Community Health Initiative: A People’s Plan for Shifting Reliance Away from the Criminal Legal System and Toward Community-Based Solutions.”

In just one month, community members and city officials will be rolling out proposals for alternatives to jail construction in SF. Now is the time to remind them of what we truly need in our city: housing, social services, jobs, and mental health and substance use treatment in the community, not in cages.

Help us build a brighter future for San Francisco:

When: October 12, 10 am
Where: SF City Hall, Civic Center, Polk Street Steps
More info/RSVP: Press Conference On Jail Alternatives
Contact: nosfjail@curbprisonspending.org

In solidarity,

The No New SF Jail Coalition
