Join us at the Riverside Community Engagement Forum!

Dear Supporter,

At the expense of education, health care, affordable housing, and the environment, California continues to use jails and prisons to answer complex societal concerns. In the face of overwhelming policy, prison, and jail failures some entertain the notion that more jails will somehow help our communities.

A David and Goliath Fight for the community’s right to thrive. Will you join, lead, or follow Riverside’s fight to stop jail expansion?

Riverside All of US or NONE and our partners are inviting you to join us at our Community Engagement Forum.

When: Nov. 15, 2013  6:00-8:00pm
Where: Universalist Unitarian Church, 3657 Lemon Street, Riverside CA

We will examine the facts and uncover the fictions and fears that lend themselves to people’s silent acceptance of things we have the power to change. The purpose of the forum is to raise awareness, ignite interest, and birth a Riverside Coalition focused on preventing jail expansion.

Please share this with your family, friends and networks!

In solidarity,

Vonya Quarles

PS: On December 6th we will be participating in a Statewide No More Jails Mobilization to Sacramento. We want to represent you in the room with us, so if you haven’t already, please sign our “Statewide Petition Against Prison and Jail Expansion,” we’ll be bringing all these signatures with us on the 6th!
